Compact does not mean compromised — ELYSIAN 1R is engineered to preserve the essential qualities of the larger models: clarity, tonal richness, precise imaging and effortless musical communication.

The original ELYSIAN series was admired for bringing true high-end loudspeaker qualities to a more attainable level. ELYSIAN 1R continues that philosophy by distilling the range’s essential technology into its most compact enclosure.

As part of Generation R, the 1R benefits from the same programme of refinement applied across the series. The AMT treble unit is further developed for speed and openness. The coated glass fibre matrix cone is engineered for clarity and control. The crossover is refined for cleaner integration and more direct signal routing. The cabinet preserves ELYSIAN’s sculpted form while gaining the updated finish language of ELYSIAN R.

The result is a compact flagship standmount speaker with the precision of a monitor and the warmth, scale and musicality that define Wharfedale.

The "R" Crossover
The ELYSIAN R crossover features premium components such as high-silicon-iron-cored coils for bass, air-core coils for midrange and treble, Super Audiophile polypropylene capacitors, and low-inductance resistors. Innovative direct-path PCBs are designed to maintain signal clarity.
