SHANLING CT90 CD Transport

Built around the classic DA11 laser head and SAA7824 servo system, the CT90 operates at standard single-speed playback for maximum accuracy and reliability. MQA-CD is supported with three selectable output modes, while a dedicated CT7302 upsampling chipset reshapes signals to PCM or DSD before output. A 35W linear power supply, top-loading mechanism with tuned CD puck, and a 4.8-inch panoramic display complete a transport that borrows design DNA from Shanling’s flagship SACD players.

• SAA7824 Servo + DA11 Laser Head — Optimized Disc System: The CT90 employs the classic DA11 laser head combined with the SAA7824 servo system at standard single-speed playback. • MQA-CD Support with Triple Output Modes: Supporting MQA-CD discs and MQA files, the CT90 offers three selectable output modes—Full Decoder (4×), Core Decoder (2×), and MQA Source Mode—for precise matching with different DAC capabilities and optimal sonic performance.
• Dedicated CT7302 Upsampling Circuit (All-to-PCM / All-to-DSD): An onboard CT7302 upsampling chipset reshapes digital signals to PCM or DSD formats before output, ensuring ideal signal delivery to downstream DACs. Available via I²S, AES, and Coaxial outputs (USB output excluded).
• 35W Linear Power Supply for Sonic Purity: A Hi-Fi-grade transformer and linear power supply provide clean, stable power with ample current reserve. Compared to switching power solutions, this design significantly lowers noise and enhances smoothness, dynamics, and tonal density.
• Top-Loading Design with Precision-Tuned CD Puck: Inspired by high-end reference CD players, the CT90 features a top-loading mechanism with a precision-tuned CD puck that reduces vibration, improves rotational stability, and enhances reading accuracy. A tiltable CD cover ensures effortless disc loading.
• USB Drive Playback with Hi-Res Support: Beyond CD playback, the CT90 supports USB drive playback with lossless formats up to PCM 768kHz, DSD512, and MQA—effectively functioning as a simplified hi-res digital music player. Recommended for USB drives 2TB or smaller.
• Bluetooth 5.0 LDAC Input & Eddict Player App Control: Bluetooth 5.0 with LDAC, aptX HD, aptX, AAC, and SBC support enables wireless streaming from any source. The Eddict Player app (Android & iOS) with Shanling SyncLink technology allows full remote control of CD and USB playback from your smartphone.
