Audio Technica AT LP8X - Direct Drive Semi-Automatic Turntable

Audio-Technica expands its line of direct-drive turntables with the semi-automatic AT-LP8X, featuring a newly designed tonearm lift that automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record side and stops the motor - awesome convenience without sacrificing sound quality!

The turntable’s robust MDF box plinth, adjustable feet, thick rubber-damped, anti-resonance, die-cast aluminium platter, and 2.5 mm rubber mat work together to temper unwanted noise and vibration so you can enjoy all the detail of your music with the accuracy of a direct drive motor system as used by broadcast radio stations, DJ's and recording studios around the world since the 1980's.

ATLP8X Turntable Cartridge

The turntable’s AT-VM95E cartridge is compatible with any Audio-Technica VM95 Series replacement stylus, making it easy to experiment with different styli profiles such as Nude elliptical, Micro Linear or Shibata. This upgrade to a higher-quality stylus will bring more detail and more lifelike reproduction of your records to enjoy more refined sound... you can even switch to an AT-VMN95SP stylus to play 78 RPM records!

  • 25 mm rubber-damped, anti-resonance, die-cast aluminum platter with 2.5 mm rubber mat

  • J-shaped tonearm with adjustable VTA (vertical tracking angle)

  • Newly designed tonearm lift automatically raises the tonearm at the end of a record side and stops the motor

  • AT-VM95E BK (black) cartridge (0.3 x 0.7 mil elliptical stylus) is compatible with any VM95 Series replacement stylus, offering a wide choice of options for every budget and application

  • Newly designed lightweight AT-LT10 headshell

  • Included subcounterweight provides an expanded cartridge/headshell weight range of 14.0 g – 23.5 g

  • Newly designed internal switching power supply, optimized for audio performance

  • MDF (medium density fiberboard) cabinet construction

  • Phono-level output provides pure, direct transmission of the cartridge’s signal

  • Includes detachable RCA output cable (dual RCA male to dual RCA male with ground), 45 RPM adapter, and removable hinged dust cover

*A dedicated SP cartridge or the replacement AT-VMN95SP stylus is required to play 78 RPM records
