REL Acoustics was founded in 1990 by Richard E. Lord in Bridgend, Wales. After Richard Lord retired,John Hunter and Donald Brody acquired the company in 2005, a pivotal moment that led to a new era of innovation focused on making subwoofers faster, louder, and more beautiful.
