We had a great time installing this Ortofon MC X40 cartridge on the Rega P3. We noticed a significant improvement in bass "slam" and "attack" compared to the Quintet Black S we removed, along with a greater sense of "space" in the upper regions, right out of the box.
Additionally, we ran the client's old Quintet Black S cart under the microscope and, as you can see, despite over 1,000 hours clocked up, this stylus still has some life left. We can't help put point out how important cartridge setup and record care are to stylus longevity. Time to pat ourselves on the back!!
