ULTRA Balanced uses a single acrylic network module for each channel to house its dual networks, whereas REFERENCE uses two elegant carbon fibre composite network modules for each channel. This not only allows electromagnetic fields to expand fully and freely, but the extra isolation provides greater noise reduction and effectively damps any opportunity for resonances to negatively affect performance.
