Antipodes K22 Hi-Res Music Server/ROON core and Reclocker
As the evolution of digital audio progresses the concept of a music server or ROON core is becoming the defacto standard to enhance both quality of audio streamed or served as well as a centralised interface for ease of use. The Antipodes range of music servers have proven themselves to sound great, be low maintenance as well as having excellent backup support from Antipodes themselves.
The K22 includes just the Player and Reclocker engines from the K50, to play to the USB, S/PDIF, AES3 or I2S inputs on a customer’s DAC. The K22 can also run Server apps, but is only medium-powered so is not suitable for very large libraries (>8TB) or heavy DSP functions. In essence the K22 improves all digital outputs on it by internally reclocking te data stream to improve tonality and texture of music. The K22 can still run as a music server - but is optimised to direct connect to a DAC and deliver a super high quality reclocked digital signal.
The K22 can have one SSD added by the end-user (up to 8TB). As the system needs grow - the customer can upgrade later by adding a K41, improving Server app responsiveness and significantly enhancing sound quality.
