HC7000 1080P Home Theatre Projector Evolutionary in design and functionality, the HC7000 from Mitsubishi Electric represents the very best that home theatre has to offer. Utilising cutting edge full high-definition technology, the HC7000 full HD 1080P home theatre projector provides sheer viewing pleasure from the moment you turn it on. With the adoption of the Mitsubishi developed Diamond Black Iris technology, contrast control with the HC7000 home theatre projector has been taken to all news heights. The iris section takes on a "diamond-cut" shape that prevents light refraction for an enhanced level of contrast, meaning accurate black reproduction is achieved even during sequences on continual bright/dark scene changes. Combined with Mitsubishi's innovative contrast control, you can be assured of the deepest blacks, the brightest whites, and the most vivid colours in between. Traditionally, most LCD panels found in projectors have been manufactured with organic compounds that with enough usage will begin to break down over time, resulting in loss of picture quality and contrast. The next-generation C2 Fine™ LCD panel found in the HC7000 is comprised of inorganic compounds, so even after long hours of use high picture quality is maintained with high contrast. This 1920 x 1080 dot full-HD resolution LCD panel can reproduce images of true high-definition quality. In order to display full-HD resolution, the HC7000 is equipped with a lens system comprised of 17 elements in 14 groups, including three ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses, which are more costly and deliver higher performance than conventional glass lenses. This lens system dramatically improves chromatic aberration and peripheral focus, giving you sharper pictures right to the edge of the screen. A common problem among conventional projectors is a loss of light intensity; not so with the HC7000. An optical compensation panel has been newly developed and installed in the HC7000 which prevents light leakage, preserving the light intensity for even higher levels of contrast. This technology combined with the Diamond Black Iris, allow the HC7000 to achieve contrast levels of up to an astounding 72,000:1
