Deep blacks...Brilliant whites...Beautifully vivid colours.... The Mitsubishi Electric HC6800 full HD home theatre projector delivers 1080P images so impressive they'll take your breath away. With an outstanding array of features such as contrast ratio levels up to a staggering 30,000:1, a superb brightness of 1500 ANSI Lumens and a Reon-VX image processor for superior plackback from any video source, the HC6800 HD projector from Mitsubishi Electric delivers a truly exciting home theatre experience in the comfort of your own home. The aperture ratio of the HC6800 home theatre projector has been increased by 20% in comparison to conventional LCD displays, which in turn improves the light transmittance ratio, giving the HC6800 a maximum brightness of 1500 ANSI lumens. The increased brightness means the projector can be enjoyed even in the relative brightness of a living room with the curtains closed during the day. The swift auto-iris measures brightness at 60 times per second for high speed transitions between light and dark images, ensuring faithful reproduction of scene sequences in films or TV shows. Combined with the "Original Contrast Control, the auto-iris delivers contrasts up to 30,000:1 for the richest blacks, the brightest whites and the most vivid colours in between. The HC6800 is equipped with the latest Reon-VX processor with HQVTM (Hollywood Quality Video) technology. Produced by the US company Silicon Optix, these processors are widely used in high-end AV equipment and have an outstanding reputation among industry professionals. Thanks to a 10-bit calculation at the core of the high precision I/P conversion, the Reon-VX delivers sharper images from any video source. The processor also features a high performance video scaler for superior resolution conversion and optimised chromatic up-sampling for more faithful reproduction of high definition colour images. For images that retain their sharpness right to the edges of the screen, the HC6800 is equipped with a lens system comprised of 17 elements in 14 groups. Included are three ED (extra-low dispersion) lenses, which are more costly and deliver higher performance than conventional glass lenses. With 2-3 pull-down conversion, which converts 24 frames per second in 60 frames per second, a surplus third B frame is created, which causes a loss in movement smoothness. The HC6800 is capable of 48P output conversion - twice the speed of cinema film (24 frames per second). This allows for the sequential matching of two frames at a time, ensuring that movies are played back with their original, smooth movement. The optimum design for temperature control of the new colour light source lamp, as well as Mitsubishi Electric's unique lighting timing, have extended the useful life of the lamp to a maximum of 4000 hours.
